An Evening of Cocktails with Jeff Burkhart & Chef Todd Davies

Unwind with an evening of Prohibition-era cocktails (and tales) from celebrated bartender/columnist Jeff Burkhart and a menu to match from Chef Todd Davies of Novato, whose Tam Gourmet custom charcuterie boards are the latest iteration of an extensive culinary career.

The Prohibition years banned liquor, but not the invention or enjoyment of new cocktails that have stood the test of time. Guests will get recipes and insights on what influenced the creation of three classic drinks.  With an eye on current tastes, Jeff also offers a recipe for one of his favorite “mocktails” as well.

Cocktails at underground bars or parties at home led to changes on the culinary scene. Chef Todd has crafted a menu and recipe demonstration that reflects these changing tastes, along with skills he built with top chefs like Bradley Ogden and Jeremiah Tower. The menu:

  • Jumbo Wild Prawn Cocktail with Spicy Horseradish-Meyer Lemon Sauce & Pickled Marin Vegetables
  • Cabernet-Braised Short Ribs of Beef with Crème Fraîche Mashers & Thyme-Roasted Baby Carrots
  • Chocolate Lava Cake

Reservations include dinner and signature cocktails (or non-alcoholic mocktail).
