$125Taste the rich culinary traditions of Northern Iran with Chef Hanif Sadr, chef/owner of Komaaj Mazze Wine Bar and Komaaj Foods in San Francisco. Each reservation includes a hand-crafted plate made with a Persian-inspired design from FLM Ceramics in Petaluma.
The chef began Komaaj Food Group as a new immigrant who wanted to share his culinary background and his own family recipes. He launched a series of pop-up dining experiences in the Bay Area, which became a business offering catering, take-home products like herbs, teas and dips, and the wine bar.
Though originally trained as an engineer, Chef Hanif now works to create an ecosystem for the culinary experience of a region stretching from the Caspian Sea to the high-elevation ranges of the Alborz Mountains. A previous project with ceramic artist Forrest Lesch-Middleton inspired the addition of a plate for this event.
