A native of Okinawa, Chef Yoshi founded the restaurant with 24 seats in 1986, an era when sushi was not a go-to option around the Bay Area. Along with sophisticated Japanese cuisine, Sushi Ran is known for its extensive list of premium sakes and wines. His menu:
