The chef founded the acclaimed John Ash & Co. restaurant in Santa Rosa, co-hosted the weekly “Good Food Hour” on KSRO radio for 35 years, and has written top-reviewed favorites that include “Culinary Birds: The Ultimate Poultry Cookbook.”
Along with authoring cookbooks, he contributes regularly to magazines like “Fine Cooking” and “Eating Well.” He has been crowned “Cooking School Teacher of the Year” by the International Association of Culinary Professionals and “Sustainable Seafood Educator of the Year” by the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
