Discover the vibrant, complex flavors of Southeast Asia as you prepare spring rolls, papaya salad and more. As you learn by doing with Chef Marco Soto, he’ll discuss the alluring ingredients celebrated in the region, such as lemongrass, galangal, tamarind, fish sauce and fresh lime. Prepare and feast on some truly dynamic and delicious dishes that you will want to make again.

What You’ll Make and Take Home:

  • Prepare and share Green Papaya Salad, Fresh Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Malaysian Chicken Satay and Cool & Spicy Vermicelli Noodles.
  • Take home a jar of Malaysian Satay Sauce and nước chấm.

About the Instructor: Chef Marco Soto is a Wine Country native with experience in fine dining, family restaurants and corporate catering. As an instructor for Sur La Table, he shared his passion for seeing people gain culinary confidence in a variety of cuisines. He now leads catering for The Key Room as Head Chef.
